Abstract: This research explores the impact of flexibility in adult education programs. The study aimed to investigate how flexible learning schedules and delivery methods affect adult learners' participation and success. The objectives were to assess the influence of flexible learning options on enrollment and retention rates, to evaluate the impact on learner satisfaction and academic performance, and to identify the types of flexibility that are most beneficial for adult learners. A survey research design was utilized to collect data from various adult education programs offering flexible options, as it allows for a broad analysis of how flexibility impacts different aspects of learning. A sample size of 270 adult learners participating in flexible education programs was selected to ensure a diverse perspective. The purposive sampling technique was used to focus on individuals who have experienced different flexible learning arrangements. The case study was conducted in Lagos, Nigeria, where flexible education models are widely implemented. Findings indicated that flexibility significantly improved enrollment and retention rates, enhanced learner satisfaction, and positively impacted academic performance. The study recommended increasing the availability of flexible learning options and further tailoring programs to meet diverse learner needs.
